I could not believe that the simple idea he came up with in his bedroom made him so popular in less than 5 months. He simply wanted to raise some cash for school by introducing pixel sales to the internet. It’s a very simple idea that can be implemented anywhere in the world. He aimed high even though he didn’t really believe he could make it. At the end he got more than he ever dreamed he could get and he is now a real ‘internet celeb’.
So my fellow web gurus, what is ticking in that brain of yours? What hot idea is bubbling in your mind? Nigerians are smart but are not encouraged so sometimes that genius is used for evil purposes. Don’t let anyone deceive you. There is need for your talent. Here in Nigeria and all over the world. Don’t let anybody put your ideas down. Speak them out and find ways to materialize them. Not everybody has massive support behind them but all it takes is an idea. Support will come when everybody sees that your idea is hot and explosive. So sit down, think, research, ask other web lovers like you and begin your project. I am here is you need me. Ask any question and I could try to figure out the solution. I also need you too. I have lots of ideas but I need a good team to materialize them.

Yahoo! dayz are gone

Yahoo! Yahoo! days are gone. Now is the time for Nigerians who are interested in making money of the internet to do so LEGALLY. Many people have ruined the Nigerian image on the internet. I have to admit that some ‘oyinboes’ are quite gullible and greedy but that is no reason to cheat or extort them. Besides EFCC dey for town ooh. So people leave that 419 mentality off the internet. PLEASE! PLEASE! Let’s clear our image and build internet power houses that will be known all over the world and will be stronger than all the others in years to come. We have to know that there is no way to make quick money except maybe the lottery. Then again how many people actually win the lottery? I have not even won one Naira in my life before. So I believe that hard work and dedication can produce us lasting wealth. Wealth that is legal and that leaves the conscience clean and clear. Don’t you agree?

How many of you are out there?

To be honest I only know two Naija bloggers. Phil and myself. Yeah! Yeah! Maybe I am not looking hard enough but then again nobody out there is given me a reason to look. Do you have a website or a blog that you personally created? Just comment this entry and add the Url of your site. I want to visit it, see it with my own eyes and study the content (A beg una ooh! No 419 sites).
We are not making our impact felt on this internet platform. You see Americans, Germans, Indians, Chinkos and so on really grapping the opportunities offered by this platform. But for Nigerians, the internet is a different thing entirely. I am sure you know what I mean but I will talk about that in the next entry.
So I ask the question again. How many of you are out there? Nigerian web designers? bloggers? Referral marketers? Are we connecting with each other? Or are we flying solo? Right now I am flying solo but I want to work with others like me. Two heads are better than one. We need to network, share, propose and analyze our work on the internet. What are you up to? What am I up to? We could combine our efforts and come out with something big. Explosive!
Nigeria and Nigerians are all about drama and hot stuff. Why not transfer and implement that online in a POSITIVE way?

AGLOCO!

AGLOCO! (HOT OFFER)

Hey! I told you 2007 was gonna be a great year for us internet users and I meant it. Have you heard AGLOCO? No? Where have you been then?
If you use the Internet and would like to be a part of an online community that earns money just for surfing and enjoys receiving special online shopping discounts, this is the offer for you. Membership is absolutely free, so it's a pretty simple, win-win proposition.

All you got to do is join this ever growing online community and refer it to others like your family, friends, business associates, boyfriends, girlfriends etc... You just got to spread the word and get paid for it. Join now!

This is what AGLOCO says:

Do you realize how valuable you are? Advertisers, search providers and online retailers are paying billions to reach you while you surf. How much of that money are you making? NONE!
AGLOCO thinks you deserve a piece of the action.
AGLOCO collects money from those companies on behalf of its members. (For example, Google currently pays AOL 10 cents for every Google search by an AOL user. And Google still has enough profit to pay $1.6 billion dollars for YouTube, an 18-month old site full of content that YouTube’s users did not get paid for!
AGLOCO will work to get its Members their share of this and more.
AGLOCO is building a new form of online community that they call an Economic Network. They are not only paying Members their fair share, but they’re building a community that will generate the kind of fortune that YouTube. But instead of that wealth making only a few people rich, the entire community will get its share.
What's the catch? No catch - no spyware, no pop-ups and no spam - membership and software are free and AGLOCO is 100% member owned. Privacy is a core value and AGLOCO never sells or rents member information.

So do both of us a favor: Sign up for AGLOCO right now! If you use this link to sign up, I automatically get credit for referring you and helping to build AGLOCO. http://www.agloco.com/r/BBBB5739

AGLOCO has about 120,000 registered members now. Every 60 minutes, 400-500 people register world-wide. The explosion would come in the next 4 weeks when the viewbar is released for us. Then many "wait-and-see" people would flood in to partake in the 'booty'.

My mentor’s mentor recruited 10,000 people in 1999-2000 and made over $25,000 in the 18 months before the bubble burst in 2000. He has started again, and has recruited some 2,500 people so far and plans to recruit 30,000 people before December 2007.

When asked about the source of his confidence that Agloco would work, he said that they have learnt from the lesson of year 2000 when the dotCom bubble burst. That is why AGLOCO is not going to give us just cash as they did with him in 1999-2000. That is why they are converting a substantial part of our accumulated units into shares to grow the company.

Secondly, he said that they were so transparently honest, that nobody lost out when they went under in 2000. Some people made as little as 50 dollars, 140 dollars, 300 dollars, nobody in his 10,000 referrals complained that they made nothing from ALL-ADVANTAGE(Dot)com (Their former name in 1999-2000) when they collapsed. The key to AGLOCO success is in massive referrals. The more people you refer, the greater your AGLOCO earnings if they are active internet 'browsers', i.e if they can browse a minimum of five hours per month.

Get ready for enrichment in 2007. It has been widely forecast by pundits that 2007 would be a DotCom boom year. Why not sit down and think over what you can do too, to ride on the wings of this wave. Let us learn from the eagle this year. The eagle is a bird of positioning, it is not an extra-powerful bird as many think, but is is an extra-sensitive bird.

It positions itself for the windstorm. It doesn't flap it's wings against the wind, it glides and rides blissfully with the with the wind. Why? because it has positioned itself for the coming of the windstorm. We can ride the DotCom boom this year, if we properly position ourselves for it.

Join now and refer AGLOCO to others like you: http://www.agloco.com/r/BBBB5739
You’ve got nothing to lose!

Introduction

Hello my Naija brothers and sisters! This blog solely consecrated to us young and dynamic Nigerian web designers and bloggers. This is a new year 2007 and mighty things are gonna happen for us internet users and builders. To be honest, I never even considered blogging until recently because I never realized the impact a blog could make. My friend, mentor and fellow blogger, Philomena, runs a successful blog that inspired me to start mine as well. So I thought to myself “ What am I going to blog about? Can’t be about my thoughts because I already have a website for that (http://www.whoamiinside.com/). So what would be worth while?”
Then it came! “Eureka! Yes ,now I know! Why don’t I blog about Nigerians that have the same interests as me? Web design, blogging and general surfing the internet!” Right now I feel the need to connect to people like me especially Nigerians. I had a misconception that only highly educated and trained professionals could play ball on the internet. But I was wrong.
Look at me. Only 3 short months in NIIT and voila! I now have a website and blog of my own and I am talking Javascript and HTML like if I was born with those languages. In fact, I even know too much. Anybody can know less than I know about web programming and still be a hit on the internet. (I am not talking yahoo! boys oooh. I mean legal stuff. Not 419). Anyway my point is that we can do it. We can reach the status of ‘Internet Celebrities’.
Our sites and blogs are still like seeds waiting to grow to produce beautiful and delicious fruits. The future is the internet! And as they say the future is now! It’s here! It’s happening! And people we need to grab it with both hands. We need to sit down and think about how Nigerians can POSITIVELY contribute to this development.
Come on my people! Our brains are so hot that the next Yahoo! or Google could come right from our backyard here in Naija. What are we waiting for? This is too hot to handle ooh!
